People added to a team now get a Slack message
Hey there! When you add someone to a team, TurnShift now sends them a Slack message naming the schedules that team is on, with a link to each, so they know where to book. It only lists active schedules that send assignment messages, and people who muted TurnShift's direct messages get nothing.
A few more fixes for things that stopped people during setup:
- A private Slack channel only works once TurnShift is in it. The channel field on a schedule now says so: type
/invite @TurnShiftin the channel first. - If someone removes the Slack app from your workspace, every page now says it at the top, with a button to reinstall. Members see who can do it.
- If your Slack workspace only allows approved apps, Slack can refuse to sign you in. TurnShift now says what to ask your Slack admin, and the support page has the same steps.
- Slack guests are hidden from people search unless you sync them. When you add people to a team, a line under the search box now links to that setting.
- A schedule that is off now says that bookings are saved, but nothing posts to Slack and the calendar hides it until you turn it on.
Happy scheduling!
