What can I ask the assistant to do?

What you do in the app: assign or unassign people, start or change a rotation, auto-assign a month, add people to a team, change who is admin, change a schedule's settings, mute your direct messages, or send you your invoices. Before a rotation change, it can show you whose turns move and save only when you agree.

Which AI assistants work with TurnShift?

Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code with GitHub Copilot, Codex, Gemini CLI, OpenCode, Windsurf, and any other MCP client. Settings > API has the setup for each, and the MCP documentation has it too.

Can the assistant do more than I can?

No. It signs in as you and keeps your role: a member books their own days, managers and admins run rotations, auto-assign and teams. Sign out every assistant at once from Settings > API.

How do I call the API?

With the organization token admins and managers find in Settings > API, as a bearer token. The API documentation lists every endpoint with an example.
