9/80 schedule

Also called the 9/80 work schedule

A 9/80 schedule fits 80 hours of work into nine days instead of ten. You work eight 9 hour days and one 8 hour day over two weeks, and take every other Friday off. Teams usually split in two, so half the team is off one Friday and the other half the next, and someone is always in.

Make it your team's

  1. Rename the crews to your people, in the list on the left (the menu button at the top left on a phone). Or open a shift and add more people to a crew.
  2. Change a shift's hours or first day: every shift of that series moves with it.
  3. Click Share and send the link, or print a month per page. It saves in your browser as soon as you change something, no sign up.

The hours here

Days run 8 AM to 6 PM with an hour for lunch, and the Friday worked 8 AM to 5 PM. Open a shift to change its hours: every day of that series follows.

Overtime

In the US, overtime counts per week, so employers usually start the pay week at noon on the Friday worked. Half of that Friday falls in each week, and both weeks come out at 40 hours. Ask your payroll how they count it.

Questions

Who gets which Friday off?
Put each person in Group 1 or Group 2: open a shift and add them. Or rename the groups to people's names when there are only two of you.
Is a 9/80 the same as a 4/10?
No. A 4/10 is four 10 hour days every week, with every Friday off. A 9/80 keeps shorter days and gives every other Friday.
